Signing up for life-coaching with Julie was one of the greatest investments I’ve ever made.
Julie has an incredible ability to not only see who you truly are, but take you as you are—fears, flaws and mistakes included.
She served as a guiding light to help me put words to feelings and draw connections between life experiences that I never would have understood or valued without her wise insight.
She helped me realize that I am free. That I am worth loving. That I have a voice. And that I matter. I know she can do the same for anyone else who is like me and doubts their ability to contribute to the world. I now know better thanks to Julie!
Working with Julie was a delight.
She is a great listener and created a lot of space for me to process my life and its vicissitudes.
Her focus on being loved, loving, and responsible gave me a lot to think, ponder, and pray about.
I highly recommend meeting with Julie if you need help especially thinking through familial relationships and how those impact you today.
She’s a genuine, wonderful person and really helped me grow spiritually and emotionally.
Prior to working with Julie, I had experienced fleeting moments of feeling like the true version of myself, of feeling the most “me.”
Now, with Julie as my coach, I am the most genuine version of myself most of the time. I am more responsible, loving, and peaceful now than I was three years ago, when I started speaking with her regularly. Julie is able to connect with her clients in a way that resonates personally. She listens without judgement and offers wise insights to help you see what you might be blind to about yourself.
Some moments of coaching can be extremely challenging, facing parts of yourself or your life that are unpleasant, but she walks alongside you in the most difficult moments.
Julie asks the right questions to evoke the answers that come from within oneself.
I can’t wait for my appointments with her each week! Coaching with Julie Balkman has been life changing. With her guidance, I truly like who I am the majority of the time and am genuinely excited about the person I am becoming.
I had been spinning in ambiguity because I didn’t know what I wanted or what was going on between us [referencing a potential dating relationship].
Coaching with Julie has been so, so, so helpful. I am really grateful for the opportunity to learn about myself and get some deeper understanding.
After 6 weeks of honest dialogue, I feel so much peace. I am excited for the future and am so much better at knowing what I want.
I’ve learned to appreciate myself for who I am. I have learned to see situations more clearly, then act in line with my decisions.
I was definitely skeptical of this whole thing for a long time, but if you’re even teetering with the idea, I’d say go for it!
I started looking forward to each session and got really excited to discuss different topics, ideas, and thoughts. I even learned to talk about feelings!
Julie is amazing.
She helped me navigate relationships in my life and taught me skills and principles to directly apply.
Julie is the perfect balance of loving and validating me but also pushing me in areas where I can be better.
When I meet with her, we talk about various aspects of my life, and she helps me see the truth about myself and the situation.
I feel more confident, and I feel total freedom in my life. Julie helped me set boundaries in unhealthy relationships, and she helped me see the importance of dropping expectations with the people around me.
I cannot sing Julie’s praises enough! If you are feeling stuck in your life, but you have the desire to do better and be better, call Julie. She will help you navigate the ins and outs of your life and will teach you principles to apply into your life moving forward.
Many of us have had a challenging upbringing or events in our lives that have caused us pain. Often the pain colors our perspective on life, our relationships with friends, family, even God. This has been the case for me. I met Julie, who accepted me just as I am.
Whatever I was concerned about we talked through and she allowed me to say whatever was on my mind without judgment or fault.
With our discussions, Julie was able to help me see things/people/situations with a different perspective that was often healing and liberating as I saw that what I had always done was simply ineffective.
It was refreshing and fun to try something new that was more effective and fulfilling. Working through painful childhood memories was healing, restorative and also very liberating.
At the end of 6 weeks, I felt loved, seen and tenderly cared for; I have healing with forgiveness in my heart, and I have new tools and insights to carry me forward. I will always treasure our time together.
I signed up for coaching because I had a very positive experience in the Well-Being and Relationships class and was interested in learning more in a one on one format.
Coaching has helped me to reflect on my feelings and responses to situations and see more clearly the motives and results. I have also learned quite a bit about what makes a meaningful relationship and ways to better see those around me, rather than focusing on my own needs.
I learned about myself that I am highly self-critical and constantly striving for an unreachable standard. I also learned that my lack of ability to reach that standard is better met with acceptance and love than with judgment, criticism, or despair.
I learned about dating, that potential partners are people to be met and known, rather than an exciting tool to fulfill your needs. This will change how I consciously seek to know those I date, rather than evaluate what I can get from them.
I do have a little more clarity when it comes to decision making in that I can more objectively view them as choices and outcomes rather than the emotional judgments that often accompany decisions.
Most valuable tools and takeaways are probably actively listening and striving to see another person to understand who they are, and from this love can grow. I wasn’t aware of this important step in relationships before, and now I think if I remember to practice it I can have more fulfilling relationships in all aspects of life.
I loved every minute that I was able to spend with Julie. It was great to learn new things about myself while knowing that I was in a space where I was not being judged and where nothing was expected of me. I learned so much about how to open up to people and just love and accept who I really am. It was worth the time and money and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
A close, trusted friend of mine had such positive experiences with Julie that it encouraged me to want to try as well!
Coaching has greatly decreased my feelings of anxiety and helped me see myself and others more clearly. It has given me tools to communicate better and have happier, healthier relationships with myself and others.
It was worth the financial investment.
I am aware of my weaknesses, but also have a greater awareness of my strengths and what I can bring to a relationship.
It’s not always easy work to delve into the deeper, more complex parts of yourself, but it is so worth it!
I feel like I understand the nature of a happy, healthy relationship— Two people willing to be truly seen, known, and loved.
For dating, I’ve learned to be aware of and responsible for myself and allow the other person the same opportunity.
I’m definitely more in tune with what I want and feel much better about my decision-making skills. This allows for progress in my life. I don’t feel stuck. I know I have choices.
Some days a motivational quote can provide a quick pick-me-up for employees and even management. They can be a breath of fresh air when it comes to a drab afternoon. These are also a great way to jazz up a newsletter or a memo or even to simply print and attach to a bulletin board.
